Glamorous December Wedding at The George in Rye

I had to share this lovely wedding with you, it was pure Gatsby glamour that fitted so well with the season. The colour scheme was navy and gold so the bridal flowers were ivory, blush with a hint of blue and grey. Being December The George in Rye looked splendid with Christmas tree, fairy lights and all the trimmings. Photographer Joe Kingston took stunning photographs capturing the spirit of the day.

Kathryn and Mark had paid a lot of attention to detail and it paid off as the following record of the day shows.

About to tie the knot

Happy times

A moment alone

Bouquet of roses, thistle, lisianthus & eucalyptus against that lovely Jenny Packham dress

Mr & Mrs walk about in Rye

Setting the scene in gold

The Ballroom in all it’s glory

And to finish

And that’s it folks but for more detailed photo’s do pop over to Joe’s website – joekingston.co.uk/kathryn-and-mark-rye-in-george-wedding

2016 Weddings

2016 got off to quite a slow start but went right through the year with our last wedding on the 29th December. Quite a few trends came through with grey being very popular particularly for bridesmaids dresses and foliage, blush pink for flowers and metallics crept in for accessories. Yellow made an appearance a few times and gypsophila stilled proved popular but with the addition of lavender in some cases. Style wise it was very relaxed, country and even wild in some case – just how we like it!

Below is a snap shot of some of our weddings and I will be featuring some in more detail in later posts.

And here we have the ever popular gypsophila!

And with a touch of lavender

Milk churns and naked cakes were popular too!
