Do you have a price list? We do have ‘wedding packages’ on our website but most weddings are bespoke as each wedding is unique and requires an individual approach so after a consultation we provide an itemised quote. How do I book? Most brides contact us by email initially with brief details of their wedding including the date. I then suggest a free, no obligation consultation, after which we provide a quote and if you wish to go ahead we require a 20% deposit payable via BACS to secure the date. Do I have to have a consultation? We prefer to meet with brides to discuss their wedding flowers either at the venue, our studio or somewhere mutually convenient. However, we appreciate it is not always practical particularly if you live abroad so are happy to communicate via email. What if I do not know anything about flowers? We are here to help! There are many tools these days that provide inspiration be it pinterest, instagram, good old fashioned magazines and our own work. Most people have an idea on the colours they would like so bridesmaids dresses, your venue and the season you are getting married all play a part. We can guide you through what is available and discuss style options and like all walks of life, trends influence the wedding industry too. Where do your flowers come from? We use a local florist wholesaler who we have worked with for many years, we also buy from local growers for seasonal flowers and grow a few flowers, herbs and foliages ourselves. Where are you based? We work from a studio in my garden based near to Rye. We are happy to consider venues throughout East Sussex and Kent and know many venues well. If we have not worked in your particular venue we will always visit it, preferably with you, before the wedding. Do you charge for delivery? Generally delivery is included in the price unless you are having limited items (under £450), have multiple drop offs or are miles away! We would then charge 45p per mile. Can you also ‘dress’ the venue? It very much depends on what you would like. We do not carry a large stock of ‘props’ but can do most things of a flower/foliage nature. Do you have vases I can hire? We have a large selection of vases and containers including crates, milk churns, tea lights. We do require a returnable deposit for such items which will be itemised in the quote We are also happy for you to provide your own and we fill them with flowers. Can I make changes after receiving a quote? Yes so long as it is before the final balance is due which is 4 weeks before your wedding date. If the value drops below £450, becomes less than 75% of the original quote or different delivery addresses are added, a delivery charge of 45p per mile will be added. Can you provide a mock up of the bouquet before the day? This is possible but obviously there is a cost attached. If we have a wedding fair prior to your wedding we do invite you to come along so we can show you a sample of work similar to what you would like. What happens on the day? We deliver all bridal flowers to where the bride is getting ready approximately 2 hours before the time of the ceremony or to fit in with hairdressers, makeup artists and photographers. All venue flowers are in situ in readiness for the ceremony and reception. If these are in the same room it is usual practice for the venue staff to put the flowers on the tables when they ‘turn’ the room round. What happens on the day after? If your arrangements are in hired containers we will collect from the venue the day after your wedding. All flowers are yours to keep and will be left at the venue if you have not already taken them. You will be responsible for any damage, breakages or loss of hired items and charged accordingly. If there is a large amount of work required to dismantle any items or long distances involved, a charge will be incurred which will be itemised in the quote.
